The Sapling Room

Ages 12-24 months

A Gentle Bridge Between Infancy and Toddlerhood

Our one year old offers a warm, consistent environment where children begin to explore independence while still feeling safely held and nurtured. Each day flows with a gentle rhythm of care, movement, play and connection.

Respectful Care and Consistent Rhythm

Using RIE Philosophy, we honor each child’s pace. Teachers move slowly, speak gently, and involve children in caregiving moments, building trust communication and confidence. The day has a predictable rhythm that helps children feel secure while exploring the world around them.

Learning Through Daily Life

At this age, children learn best through imitation and sensory experience. We support natural curiosity with open ended materials, outdoor discovery, and meaningful routines like washing hands, helping set the table, or caring for plants.
